The Schools Linking Network (SLN) is a national charity, which supports schools and other organisations across England to explore identity, diversity, equality and community, using four key questions:
Who am I? Who are we? Where do we live? How do we all live together? These are explored through rich experiences of linking with other people and communities combined with reflective practice in classrooms. SLN provides quality CPD and resources to support schools, and an infrastructure so that schools feel fully able to develop excellent and sustainable linking programmes, which give young people invaluable skills for life.
Our website explains how local authorities, schools and other organisations across England can make effective links, provides a wealth of classroom and linking resources and offers news and information on matters relating to community cohesion, integration, equality and pedagogy.
“We believe that understanding the many influences on our identity, and learning how to work and socialise with others from different backgrounds, are crucial skills for children and young people to acquire if they are going to succeed in this diverse, complex and global society.”
